Saint Lawrence & Atlantic RR (SLR)
The Saint Lawrence and Atlantic RR (SLR) and the St-Laurent et Atlantique Quebec (SLQ) currently operate about 160 miles of track between East Deering in Portland, ME and St Rosalie, Que. They are a subsidiary of Gennesee and Wyoming. Their major locomotive facilities are at Lewiston Jct. in Auburn, ME. And they connect to:
- PanAm (PAR) at Danville Jct, in Auburn, ME.
- New Hampshire Central (NHCR) at Groveton, and North Stratford, NH
- Central Maine and Quebec Railway (CMQ) at Lennoxville, Que.
- and the Canadian National at Richmond, Que.

In August of 2009 a sun-kink in the rail caused a derailment in the Bethel area. I got there on August 17th after cleanup was underway.
